Version 1.75: less noise, more control

Filter by status, create products without leaving the page, read the stock chart the way you'd say it and only get the alerts that are yours.

What's new

This version is about taking noise off your plate. Several stores told us the same thing: too much information mixed together and too many alerts going to the wrong person. So we got to work.

The bigger the catalog, the more filtering matters.
The bigger the catalog, the more filtering matters.

Why we changed it

Once a shop has been using Pla Logistic for a few months, the catalogue grows. Seasonal products that won't come back, brands the supplier stopped delivering, items created by mistake... All of that just sits there, mixed in with what you sell every day.

A shop manager put it very clearly: "I open the product list and half of what I see doesn't exist any more." She was right. And it wasn't just a visual nuisance: order suggestions also took into account products that shop no longer sold. So we've tackled the problem from both sides.

"I open the product list and half of what I see doesn't exist any more."

Every product in its place

Each location's products page can now be filtered by status. By default you see active products, and with one click you switch to that store's inactive or discontinued ones. What you no longer sell stops getting in the way of what you sell every day.

And if you notice a product is missing while you review, you create it from the same page. It's added to the catalog and the location in one step, no back and forth.

A chart that talks like you

Nobody thinks "the shelf ran empty on October 14". You think "a couple of weeks ago". So each product's stock chart now names days the way you would: "yesterday", "2 weeks ago" or "3 months ago".

It sounds like a detail, but it makes a big difference when you want to see at a glance when something ran out or when the last order arrived.

Tasks always in view

In the weekly tasks view, the week panel stays put while you scroll. You can go down a long list without losing track of which day you're on.

Alerts for whoever has to act

  • Reorder suggestions only include products active in the location, so it no longer suggests ordering things that store doesn't sell
  • Low stock alerts reach each location's managers. The owner only gets them if the store has no manager
An alert that reaches someone who can't do anything about it is just noise.

How to make the most of it

If you want to get the most out of this version, we recommend spending ten minutes on a tidy-up:

  • Go into each shop's products and mark seasonal ones that will come back later as inactive
  • Mark as discontinued the ones you'll never sell again: they stay only for the history
  • Check that each shop has its manager assigned, so alerts reach the right person
  • Take a look at the order suggestions: now you'll only see active products, and it shows

Questions about this version

If I mark a product as discontinued, is it deleted?

No. A discontinued product is kept only for the history: you can still see its past movements, but it stops showing up in the day-to-day.

Can I reactivate an inactive product?

Yes. Inactive means it's hidden from normal use until you activate it again. It's perfect for seasonal products.

Is the status per shop or for all of them?

Per shop. A product can be active in one location and inactive in another, because each shop sells its own range.

I'm an owner and I've stopped receiving alerts from a shop. Is that normal?

Yes, if that shop has a manager: low-stock alerts now go to them. If you want to keep receiving them, assign yourself as manager of that location.
